Word Building - Suffixes

We can make verbs by adding these suffixes to noum or adjetives: -ate originate, -en weaken, -ise recognise, -ify identify.
We can make nouns by adding these suffixes to verbs or adjetives: -er driver, -or actor, -ee employee, -ess careless, -ness tenderness, -ity hability , -al arrival, -ion reaction , -ment  improvement, -hood childhood, -ence preference, -dom freedom, -ist pianist, -ian politician, -ese chinese.
We can make adjetives by adding these suffixes to verbs or noun: -al original, -ent different, -ive active, -ous serious, -ful useful, -able recognisable, -ing boring, -ed bored, -ic realistic, -ive decisive, -ible responsible.
