Have (get) Something Done/ Get Someone To do Something/ Do Something yourself.

Have/Get something done.
-When someone does some work for us.
They had their house painted. (that means a professional painter painted the house)
-When something unpleasant occurs.
I had my purse stolen.
-Using get instead have would be more informal.
They got  their house painted.
Get Someone To do Something.
I get my mum to alter my clothes. ( I do not know to alter so I ask my mum, in other cases you can ask your friends, your relatives...)
Do something yourself.
-When we do the job without help from other people.
-The reflexive pronouns are: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves.
If I buy shelves in IKEA, I always put up them myself because I enjoy it very much.
